Palm Beach Society: 'Food for Thought' donors thanked with food, thoughts ... and cocktails

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (October 10, 2021) –Welcoming over 30 guests and serving refreshing libations and delicious eats provided by Rose Catering, party-goers enjoyed an open bar and a variety of passed hors d’oeuvres featuring bite sized artisan cheeseburgers and tacos, fresh bacon wrapped scallops and for dessert – a selection of decadent chocolates.

As guests mixed and mingled, acknowledgements were made by Melissa Sullivan as she welcomed supporters into her home. She then introduced Board Chair, Dianne Bernstein, thanking all event sponsors including Steve and Lori Leveen (Co-Founders of Levenger), committee members and their five Lead Gift Honorary Co-Chairs including Josephine Bayard, Kim Bepler, The Honorable Anne Brown, Alexander “Sandy” Myers and Melissa Sullivan for their continued efforts and devotion to the Foundation and the Mandel Public Library. Wrapping up the evening, WPBLF Executive Director, Dean W. Dimke, also thanked guests and shared how the raised funds from the event will greatly benefit the Library. All speakers shared the same excitement for the big Gala to come this November.

The upcoming Food for Thought (FFT) Gala on Saturday, November 13th will be located in the Grand Reading Room of the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach where guests will enjoy an elegant dinner featuring 20 table hosts seasoned with a local luminary, including author Valerie Hemingway. Proceeds from the gala support the West Palm Beach Library Foundation’s mission to make community programs, services and resources offered by the Mandel Public Library free to the public.
