Exhibition and Programs Saluting The 100,000-plus Veterans Residing in Palm Beach County and The US Military

With an estimated 115,000 US military Veterans residing in Palm Beach County, the West Palm Beach Library Foundation recognized Veterans in an exhibition accompanied by programs and events on military service from October 11 through January 31, 2015 at the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach.

The photograph exhibition, entitled "Star Spangled Heroes," highlights Veterans for their exemplary service and includes military memorabilia. The Library Foundation is hosting films on veterans, an author event with an Air Force illustrator who was in Vietnam, a high school essay contest on military service, a gathering with a World War II Life Magazine photographer, Remarkable Lives - a panel of women who share their experiences as soldiers and veterans, a letter writing program for kids to write to veterans in facilities for the aging, and convalescent centers and other programs looking at the US armed services and veterans. The Foundation is pleased to announce that Sheriff Ric and Dorothy Bradshaw are serving as Honorary Chairs and Lesley Hogan, Esq. and Fred Storch are serving as Event Co-Chairs.
