Homework Centers
Help Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach reach our goal of raising $150,000 for Elementary and Teen Homework Centers.
Homework Centers are the anchor of the library’s afterschool initiatives and serve as a lifeline for children and teens by providing free academic support to students in grades K-12. Open four days a week, Homework Centers provide everything students need to successfully study, learn and complete homework and research projects.

Elementary Homework Help for students in grades K-5

Destined to make a difference in a child’s life, the Elementary Homework Center is the anchor of after-school programs for children. Certified teachers assist with homework, projects, and test prep. Free healthy snacks are always provided.
Teens Homework Help for students in grades 6-12
Teens can get FREE help with homework and other school projects from certified teachers. Students in grades 6-12 will receive assistance with all subjects including homework, projects, test prep, and encouragement with their studies. Reading sessions are available Monday through Wednesday, and math sessions are available Tuesday through Thursday.
Homework Centers are equipped with basic supplies like paper and pencils, laptops, printers, and tablets and are also stocked with healthy snacks to feed bodies and minds. Homework Centers are staffed by certified teachers, professional librarians, volunteer tutors and AmeriCorps members. These adults serve as teachers, advocates, mentors and emotional support for children and teens on their educational journeys.

Can we count on you to help the Homework Centers prepare today’s learners for tomorrow’s successes?
