WPB Library Foundation Yacht Cruise Has Record-Breaking Year!
WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. (May 5, 2026) – The West Palm Beach Library Foundation’s Cruise for a Cause set new records in number of guests aboard the yacht and in achieving fundraising goals, to fuel the foundation’s mission of supporting the programs and services funded for the Mandel Public Library.
“This was our fifth annual yacht event, and it broke records for revenue raised and number of attendees. This event is now generating significant funds that are supporting the life-changing programs and services offered through the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach. I congratulate and thank the event co-chairs and auction chair, their committee, our sponsors, guests, and the foundation staff, on this incredible success,” stated Margaret Moraskie, Board Chair.
Co-Chair and Board Member Tina Munroe stated that “I was so honored to have had a role in raising record revenue for the Library Foundation, an organization I am very proud to be involved with and support. This success would not have happened without the many sponsors, committee members and guests supporting all the programs and resources our community enjoys at our wonderful library.”
Her Co-Chair, Laura Rathlev, stated “The Mandel library offers so much—from homework help and art classes to college prep and summer programs. For many families, it also provides essential support, especially in the summer when school meals aren’t available. It’s been such a privilege to be part of this event and work alongside this incredible team.”
The Brunch Cruise was held Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., aboard a luxury yacht as it moved leisurely along the Intracoastal Waterway. The day began with guests perusing the 66 unique silent auction packages on Deck Three, while enjoying cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres. Guests then adjourned to Deck Two to enjoy a Brunch Buffet featuring a Seasonal Fruits & Berries Display, Scrambled Eggs and Eggs Benedict, and Applewood Smoked Bacon.
Guests also enjoyed the musical styling of singer Goldie Heart and her band, as they entertained guests on the open-air Deck Four in two lively sets.
A brief program began with welcoming remarks from CEO Dean Dimke. Co-Chairs Tina Munroe and Laura Rathlev thanked the event sponsors that included: Benefactor Sponsor Raptis Rare Books; Captain Sponsors Stephanie Gates and Related Ross; Chief Officer Corporate Sponsors AB Bernstein, Key Private Bank and Owens Realty Services; Chief Officer Individual Sponsors Abe & Dianne Bernstein, The Honorable Ann Brown, Wallace & Dr. Mary Ann DuPont, and Melissa Sullivan. Media Sponsor was Palm Beach Illustrated.
Auction Chair Adrienne Raptis introduced Sebastian Clarke, a veteran auctioneer and appraiser who frequently appears on Antiques Roadshow, to preside over the Live Auction of nine exclusive experiences. Live Auction packages included a Weekend Stay at The Colony Hotel, Sheriff for A Day with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, and an Afternoon of Polo for Eight in a Private Box.
Proceeds from Cruise for a Cause will support the Library Foundation’s mission to fund the programs, services, and resources of the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach, making them accessible to the community at absolutely no cost.
