Homework Center Teachers are Making a Difference in the Lives of Students

Afterschool Homework Centers

The Afterschool Homework Help Program first launched in 2010, and since then it has continued to grow into one of the library’s most impactful educational services. In 2025 alone, more than 1,333 students participated in over 285 tutoring sessions, reflecting both the strong community need for academic support and the program’s ongoing commitment to helping students succeed.

As we enter another school year, we are proud to help carry forward this tradition of learning, enrichment, and community support.

If a student needs help with their homework, whether they’relearning the alphabet, practicing multiplication tables, or preparing for an upcoming history paper, our dedicated teachers are ready to provide the guidance and support they need to succeed.

Each session is staffed by a teacher who assists up to three students at a time, ensuring that every child receives personalized attention tailored to their academic needs.
